Refit History

2020: 

• Underwent full 5-year RINA survey
• Transom re painting, shaft removal, inspection and re-installation, rudders removed and re-installed after testing bearings and running gear, new lip seals fitted
• New fixed installation of aft deck furniture and tables
• New jet skis

2021/2022: 

• RINA intermediate Survey
• Full installation of Ubquity networking gear AV/IT, including re-cabling, switches, camera and access points.
• Installed new generator coil in the starboard generator, major generator services to both units.
• Constructed and installed a new bar, bar stools and seating on the sundeck
• Completely re-upholstered all exterior squabs and new deck cushions
• Full top end service of the stabilisers, new bearings and bushings installed

2022/2023

• RINA Intermediate Survey
• Removed, services and replaced and necessary, all through valves, main engine exhaust valves and generator valves.
• Installed new fire insulation to the main engine exhausts.
• Installation of new TV control system throughout the yacht, upgraded the exterior entertainment system and airplay capability

2023/2024

• RINA Survey and renewal of class certificates
• Full revision of the swim platform, completely removed, tested and re installed. 
• New teak installed on the swim platform
• Complete 10,000 hour rebuild both generators, including the generator top, heads, gaskets, injectors water pumps etc.
• Generator PTO’s full service and installation of new bearings

Captains Notes

Aroha was purchased by the current owner in 2020, since we have owned the yacht each year in the winter months, we have invested a large amount of work and funds into maintenance to better the yacht from when it was purchased. We have made significant upgrades to the exterior cushions, deck upholstery and layout, including new furniture, bar and seating arrangements. All new linen and soft furnishing have been fitted throughout the yacht.

Mechanically we have overhauled the generators, completing the 10,000 hour service on these during the winter of 2023/2024. Overhauled the stabilisers, removed all the main valves and exhausts, spray rings etc. We have completed the book services to the MTU main engines. The hydraulic system has been overhauled and PTO’s and clutched have been serviced, and/or replaced where necessary.

Regarding class surveys and maintenance, we have maintained the vessel to commercial class standards in accordance with RINA survey requirements. I have downgraded the statutory “Certificates of Compliance” to be “Statements of Compliance” meaning if a potential owner were to convert the yacht back to full commercial code, it would be a paper formality to complete this task as all maintenance is compliant with the current code.
