About Cabo
Cabo was founded in 1991 at Adelanto, California by Henry Mohrschladt and Mike Howarth, building offshore sportfishermen for the West Coast tuna fishery - which is a harder brief than it sounds and produced a notably strong boat. Brunswick bought the company in 2006 and consolidated it into the Hatteras facility at New Bern in 2010; production paused in 2013, the Cabo 41 Express appeared briefly in 2019, and White River Marine Group has owned the name since 2021.
The West Coast origin is the interesting part for a Florida buyer. These were built for long runs in real ocean rather than for a run to the reef, and they are heavily engineered accordingly. Everything on the market is brokerage, the Hatteras-era boats carry that build quality, and condition and engine hours decide the price entirely.
