Aspire Yacht Sales is a yacht brokerage in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This explains what this website collects, why, and how to have it removed. It describes what the site actually does rather than what a template says, so it is shorter than most.
What we never do
We do not sell, rent or trade your details to anybody. We do not send your inquiry to a panel of brokerages. There is no lead broker and no data partner.
When you send an inquiry
The form asks for your name, email address and telephone number, and records which yacht you were looking at and which page you came from. That is the whole of it.
It goes to one broker at Aspire, who replies to you. We keep it in our own customer records so that the next conversation starts where the last one finished, and so we can tell you when a boat that matches what you asked for comes on the market. If you would rather we did not, say so and we will stop.
When you ask to be told about new boats
If you ask us to watch the market for you, we keep what you are looking for and your email address, and we write when something fits. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link, and using it stops them for good.
Saving yachts, and the hearts you press
The heart on a listing saves that boat to your own browser. On its own it is nothing to do with us: we cannot see your shortlist, it is not sent anywhere, and clearing your browsing data removes it.
It changes only if you fill in the small card that asks whether a broker should keep an eye on a boat for you. Doing that gives your browser a random code that links it to your record with us. From then on, the boats you save are recorded against your record and shown to your broker, which is the thing that card asks you if you want. The code holds no personal detail and is not used for advertising, and the boats you save are never passed to anyone outside Aspire.
If you have not sent that card, none of this applies to you and there is nothing linking your browser to a name. To stop it after you have, clear this site’s data in your browser, or write to us and we will unlink it and delete what it recorded.
How we measure the site
We count pages. Our own measurement records the page, the time, and a short code that distinguishes one visitor from another for the rest of that day. That code is derived from your network address, and the address itself is never written down. The code changes daily, so the same person next week is a different visitor to us.
We also use Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies and is governed by Google’s privacy policy rather than ours. If you would rather not be counted, a browser set to block third-party cookies, or any of the usual blockers, stops it. Our own counting will still happen and still cannot identify you.
Cookies
The public site sets one small cookie of its own: how you first reached us, such as a Google search or a link in one of our emails, and the first page you saw. It holds nothing that identifies you and lasts 30 days. If you send us an inquiry, it tells the broker how you found us. Signing in to the staff area sets one that keeps that session open, and connecting an account sets a short-lived one that expires within minutes. Google Analytics sets its own, as above.
Yacht listings
Most boats shown here are listed by other brokerages and reach us through the industry feed. Those details belong to the listing broker. If you are a broker and something about your listing is wrong here, write to us and we will correct or remove it.
How long we keep things
Inquiries and client records are kept while you are a client and for as long afterwards as we may reasonably need them, because people come back to buy a second boat years later. Page counts are kept in aggregate. Anything you ask us to delete, we delete.
Your choices
Write to [email protected] or call (954) 560-2811 and ask for a copy of what we hold, a correction, or deletion. You do not need a reason and we will not ask for one.
Children
This site is for people buying and selling yachts and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this changes, the date at the top changes with it. We will not quietly start doing something this page says we do not.
