About Extra Yachts
Extra began inside ISA and was set up as its own brand in 2017, part of Palumbo Superyachts - the Naples group that also owns ISA, Columbus and Mondomarine and runs seven yards around the Mediterranean. The boats are built at Ancona.
Three lines: Fast, Loft and Triplex. What sets them apart is volume and glass - full-beam saloons, enormous side windows, and a deliberately loft-like feel that came out of asking what a superyacht interior would look like if it were designed as an apartment rather than as a boat. Francesco Guida draws the exteriors, Hot Lab does the interiors. The X96 Triplex is the flagship. These are young boats in small numbers, so anything on the brokerage market is close to new and worth reading against the original build specification.
