About Fountaine Pajot
Fountaine Pajot was founded in 1976 by Jean-François Fountaine and Yves Pajot, who met at the Montreal Olympics (one an Olympic and world champion, the other a Flying Dutchman medalist), together with Daniel Givon and Rémi Tristan. They began with dinghies, moved into offshore multihulls, and launched the first cruising catamaran range in 1983.
Nearly 5,000 catamarans and more than sixty models later, it is one of the three brands that define the cruising catamaran market alongside Lagoon and Leopard. The sailing cats are the bulk of it; the Motor Yacht power cats are the half that surprises buyers coming from monohulls, offering the volume and the shallow draft of a catamaran with none of the rig to look after.
