About Horizon
Horizon was founded in 1987 by John Lu, who still runs it, and builds at four facilities in Kaohsiung, Taiwan with a workforce of around 900. It is the largest luxury yacht builder in Asia and among the ten largest in the world, with more than 940 yachts delivered.
The boats are semi-custom composite: eight series and around twenty-five models covering planing, semi-planing, full-displacement and catamaran hulls, with owners changing layouts within a proven platform. That combination - a known tooling with a bespoke interior - is why Horizons hold up well on the brokerage market, and why the build specification is worth reading closely alongside the model.
