Hydra-Sports Yachts for Sale

Hydra-Sports started building fiberglass fishing boats outside Nashville, Tennessee in 1973 and spent thirty years as a mainstream saltwater brand. Genmar bought it in 2001. When Genmar went into Chapter 11, MasterCraft picked the brand up at the January 2010 bankruptcy auction for $1 million and moved the tooling to Vonore, Tennessee. In 2012 the Florida dealer Plantation Boat Mart bought it while MasterCraft kept building, took it upmarket into large custom center consoles, and in January 2018 renamed the company HCB.

The name therefore covers three different boats. The Nashville era boats are ordinary older production fishing boats, cheap, and worth a hard look at transom and stringers. The Genmar era boats from 2001 to 2009 are the ones most often listed: properly built offshore center consoles, usually twin or triple outboard, whose value now sits almost entirely in the engines and electronics. The last Vonore built boats are effectively early HCBs and are priced that way, and HCB is the place to ask about them.
