About Lazzara Yachts
The Lazzara name in fiberglass goes back to 1955 and Vince Lazzara, a Chicago chemical engineer who set out to build a composite yacht for himself and ended up building the largest one in the world. The modern company was established around 1990 by his sons Dick and Brad in Tampa, and the award-winning LSX sport yachts followed in 2006.
The company has stopped and restarted more than once (a $20 million relaunch was announced in 2015, operations ceased, and the name returned in 2019), so a buyer should treat factory support as uncertain and price accordingly. What is not uncertain is the boats: American-built, unusually well finished for their era, and generally cheaper on the brokerage market than their equivalents because the badge has been quiet.
