About Marlow
Marlow was founded in 2000 by David Marlow, who had been sketching the boats since the mid-1990s. The company is based at Snead Island in Palmetto, Florida, with construction in Xiamen, and builds long-range explorer and pilothouse yachts from 49 to around 100 feet.
The reputation is for construction rather than styling: heavily engineered composite hulls with Kevlar and carbon reinforcement, built to cross oceans and to be surveyed hard without embarrassment. Owners tend to keep them a long time, which means the used ones come with thick records - and on this kind of boat the records are most of what you are buying.
