Nautitech Yachts for Sale

Nautitech started in 1994 as a catamaran line inside the Dufour Yachts group, was sold on in 2002, built its own plant at La Rochelle between 2004 and 2006 and moved to Rochefort in 2008. Bavaria Yachtbau bought it in July 2014 and Capital Management Partners took ultimate ownership in 2018. The boats have always sat at the sporty end of the cruising catamaran market: narrower hulls, more sail area, Marc Lombard behind several of the designs, and the Open layout that runs the saloon and cockpit together on one level with the helms out aft where you can see the sails. The current range is the 41 Type S, the 44 Open and the 48 Open, and the yard has run at roughly fifty boats a year with about seventy percent going for export.

You need to know where the company stands before you buy one. On 7 August 2026 the commercial court at La Rochelle put Nautitech into redressement judiciaire, the French equivalent of Chapter 11, after the main shareholder declined to put more money in. Revenue had fallen from 30.3 million euros in 2023 to 18.8 million in 2025 and output from 58 boats to 24. The yard is still building, still delivering and still running after sales, with an order book into summer 2027 and a six month observation period while a buyer is found, but nothing has been said publicly about who honors warranties. On a used boat the warranty is usually moot anyway, and what matters more is that a catamaran this specialized depends on the yard for rudders, bearings, hatches and trim, all of which come from France. There is no Nautitech factory presence in the United States, spares ship from Rochefort, and unless the boat was ordered for this market it is 230 volts at 50 hertz on European fittings, so check the electrical specification and the duty paperwork. Sail them for what they are: faster and livelier than a Lagoon or Leopard of the same length, with less interior volume, and best suited to a couple who actually sail.
