Princess Yachts for Sale

Princess began in Plymouth in 1965 as Marine Projects, started by former naval officer David King and two partners. Their first model, the Project 31, was fitted out in a rented shed, and the Princess 32 of 1969 was the first boat to carry the name. South African businessman Graham Beck bought the company in 1981, an LVMH-backed fund took a controlling stake in 2008, and KPS Capital Partners acquired control in 2023.

Princess builds motor yachts in several classes: F Class flybridges, V Class sport yachts, S Class sportbridges, Y Class motor yachts, the larger X Class, and the carbon-fiber R Class. Design, engineering and building are all done in Plymouth. Because Princess sells in many countries, check whether a used boat was built to US or European specification, since that affects its electrical systems and some equipment. American boats of roughly 1995 to 2011 were often badged Viking Princess or Viking Sport Cruisers, sold here through the Viking Yacht Company, and they are Princess yachts built at Plymouth to American specification. They are listed under that name rather than this one, so look at both pages before you decide nothing suits.
