About Regal
Regal was founded in 1969 by Paul and Carol Kuck, with a small group of investors, and built twelve boats in its first year: a ski boat, a tri-hull and a cuddy. By 1971 it had moved into its own purpose-built plant in Orlando, Florida, which remains its headquarters. The company nearly failed during the 1973 energy crisis but recovered, and it is still run by the Kuck family, now led by the founders' sons Duane and Tim.
Regal builds bowriders, deck boats, surf boats, express cruisers and its SAV (Sports Activity Vessel) outboard models, with the 50 SAV introduced in 2024 as its flagship. Its FasTrac hull design dates from 1995. On the used market, Regals cover a wide range of sizes and propulsion types, so compare boats with the same engine setup and check service records before making an offer.
