About Westport
Westport started in 1964 in Westport, Washington, building commercial fishing boats and fast passenger ferries for the North Pacific, and turned to luxury motor yachts from the late 1970s. That commercial pedigree is the point of the boats: they are built in advanced composite, tooled as a series rather than one at a time, and they carry the sea-keeping the Pacific Northwest fleet needed.
The current range is the W117, W135 and W172 - 35, 41 and 52 metres - all raised pilothouse or tri-deck. Because Westport builds from tooling, a used one can be compared properly against her sisters, which is unusual at this size where most yachts are one-offs. Service is straightforward in Florida, where the company keeps its sales and service base.
