About CRN
Sanzio Nicolini founded Costruzioni e Riparazioni Navali in 1963 in a post-war aircraft hangar at Ancona. While the rest of Italian yachtbuilding was learning fiberglass, CRN went to steel and aluminum, and that decision is why Italy can build 70- and 80-meter yachts today. Ferretti bought the yard in 1999.
The Ancona site now runs to more than 80,000 square meters with its own marina and berths for 30- to 100-meter boats, and it is the whole group's superyacht center: CRN's own fully custom steel-and-aluminum hulls up to 90 meters, plus the aluminum and larger composite work for Riva, Pershing and Custom Line. Every CRN is a one-off, so there is no model range to compare against: read the general arrangement, the build book and the refit history, and treat each boat entirely on her own terms.
