About Pursuit
Pursuit started in 1977 as a fishing-boat line from S2 Yachts, the Holland, Michigan, company founded by Leon Slikkers that also builds Tiara. In 1983 Pursuit opened a dedicated plant in Fort Pierce, Florida, where it still builds, and a second, newer facility there followed in 2020. S2 sold Pursuit to Malibu Boats in 2018, while the Slikkers family kept Tiara.
Pursuit builds offshore boats aimed at owners who want to fish but also cruise with family: center consoles, dual consoles and its Sport and Offshore (OS) models, up to the 44-foot class. Older Pursuits on the used market also include walkaround, express and Denali models. Engine hours, maintenance records and the condition of wiring and rigging are the key items to review on any used boat of this type.
