About Real
Real Powerboats was founded in August 1986 by the engineer Paulo Sérgio Renha with the businessman Aleimar Telles Pascoal, the name made from the first syllables of their own. The yard is at Queimados in Rio de Janeiro state and builds about fifteen models from 22 to 60 feet, open boats, cabin cruisers, flybridges and fishing versions, all in fiberglass, more than 12,000 boats since it started. It has nothing to do with Regal of Orlando, a confusion worth heading off early.
Real is a domestic Brazilian brand that only began selling abroad in 2023, when Real Powerboats International was set up as worldwide distributor working a Florida phone number. So there is no established American dealer behind the older boats: glass, upholstery patterns and model specific hardware come from Brazil, slowly and with freight on top. Engines are normally Mercury, Volvo Penta or Yanmar, so the mechanical side is ordinary. Confirm the voltage and frequency of the boat in front of you, and confirm duty was paid with the CBP entry summary, form 7501.
